plug for what?
plug for what?
i just got an 86 Z28 and i have a question.
Below the steering wheel on the right side there is a cut out in the panel. Behind the cutout there is a the female end of a plug.
I am just wondering what this is?

I'm guessing the aldl port (assembly line diagnostic link). At one point there was a little cover for it but i have yet to come across one. That's where you can pull codes if you get an ses light.
thanks guys. i was thinking that it was probably for diagnostics but i wasn't positive.
ill probably come up with something to cover it but im not worried about it. i have much better things to spend my money on for under the hood.
