distributorless engine

is it possible for us to put a direct ignition on our cars, you know a coil for every plug?

People have put LS1s in these cars before and i'm pretty sure those are like that so it is possible.

you'd be better off putting an LT1 engine in, probably easier and way cheaper.

yes. i dont recall the name of it, but there is a company that makes kits..


pretty much you can run any SBC ignition system... just make it a crank (or cam) trigger system......

yep, what dude said, got to have a trigger serup somewhere somehow for the ECM to know when to fire which cylinders off,

are you bent on doing this ? if so then why ??

there is nothing wrong with GM distributors if are in good shape. HEI was th best thing GM ever did, IMHO
trouble free high secondary voltage

best reason i can think of for wanting to do this is so you can run a LT1 intake without making a hole.... or if you wanted to run a tunnel ram or some other intake that does not have enough room for the distrib....
