87 tpi dual eletric fans how do i setup for putting fans on manually
hi.....i have an 87 iroc with dual electric fans and i just wanted to know how to setup the wires with a switch so i can activate the fans so they can be running constantly through out my driving? i did see something about it on the message boards but i cant open it cause i need a certain reader for it. i did how ever see one time an old post of the fan setup but its not there anymore. so if there is a diagram or some article about it or old post. please let me know or send the information in my email address. thanks again for the help.:hail: :hail: :hail: :hail:

Do a search for "manual and fan and switch" and you'll find that diagram.
It's easy enough, you just use a wire splice to tap into the green/white wire on the fan relay. Run that wire to one post on a switch, run a wire from the other post on the switch to a good ground. That way, when you hit the switch it cuts the fan on by grounding the relay instead of having a live wire running to a toggle switch.
IF you have dual fans, I'm fairly certain, that if you tap into the green/white wire of the SECONDARY fan relay, when you cut the fan on, the primary will come on as well.
And as far as the reader you need, go to www.adobe.com and get the Acrobat reader for free.

I have 2 switches, one to each relay since neither of my fans would come on normally.
