Headlight motor relay check

Can anyone tell me how to test the relay
that makes the headlights go up and down. I have a 87 formula firebird.

Engine: 350 TPI

Transmission: 700R4

I beleive the way it worked on my car was when the relays wemt the headlight went down and wouldnt com back up.And i beleive there is 3 relays.One for the right headlight and one for the left.The third is usually near the passenger side light and i think its a master relay for the whole headlight system.
