Hot wire a 3rd gen?
Im not stealing a car, mine was broken into and they ****ed up where I put the key in, it just spins free so I need to get my car started some how so I can drive it home (Im 3 hours away at school)... all the wires are exposed because they decided to take a hammer to my column and see what that revealed.
Kinda an odd request I know, but if anyone can help me it would save what it costs to rent a trailer. Thanks guys...

if the car is the '91 rs at the bottom of your post, the it has the VATS anti-theft.better call that wrecker and start scrounging the boneyards for a steering column.it won't allow the car to start if it doesn't get the resistor code(found on the ign key)

Hey vats can be defeated easily. Measure the resistance in your key with a digital multimeter or something, then buy a resistor with the same ohm resistance and wire it in-line with the wire that goes to the key cylinder - it simulates the vats thingy on the key.
