can I use car battery to check headlight motor.....
Have the headlight motor from my 87 T/A out and disassembled. Everything appears to work properly. I have no voltage meter and was wondering if I could test the motor to see if the headlight motor is working by attaching jumpers directly to the cars battery.....or will this be bad for the motor ??? I believe the relay modual isn't working considering all the other posts i've read about headlight operations not functioning properly. Please help and advise !!!! Thanks !!

sure you can, the two wires coming directly from motor are what is called reverse polarity,i.e one wire shows12v in the up position and ground in the down position ,the other wire will do exact opposite of 1st.you basically need 12 v and ground to make anything electrical work and this is no different.
