100w fog lights safe?

I went to get some replacement bulbs for my fog lights. At the store the book said I needed "H3" 55w bulbs. In the slot for them they only had 100w. Normally I wouldn't think anything, but the 100w had the same part number as the 55w. The clerk said them must be replacement parts. Anyone know if the 100w are to hot?

I have been running 100 watters in my TA for about 2 years without a problem, I run them anytime the parking or headlights are on. as long as you don't have plastic lenses you should be ok.
