88 GTA. My digital tach is broken. It looks like the previous owner tapped on it and broke the inside glass. Now it looks like a not-so-cool abstract print in my dash. Can I get just the tach or do I need the whole cluster? How hard is it to replace the tach. Unplug the old, plug in the new? The digital dash seems to be more trouble than its worth but I'm going to keep it. Help.

I have a parts cluster with a perfect woring gauges if you figure out how to remove the tach let me know and I will sell you the tack out of this one

 

Does it look like the tach can be taken out of the cluster? Or will I need to buy the whole thing? Do the connectors just plug in, or is there soldering required?

places like this can also repair these dashes.... the 84-89 corvette digital dashes were pretty much the same as the ones int he fbirds...
