When i finished my auto to 5 speed swap everything went good.. except for i now have no reverse lights and no speedo.... the speedo from my 88 bird seems to have some kind of electric pickup... but the trans i put in i think is a cable... any idea what to do? Also.. i have no clue why the reverse lights dont work... any help is appriciated!

 

You'll need to locate and swap in a sending unit for an electric speedo from an 86-up T5 'bird.
The switch for the reverse lights is on the drivers side of the trans case...you'll also need to find the proper plug-in to fit it, and extend the wires from your original shifter-mounted switch.

Your backup switch isn't hooked up, I don't think the VSS has anything to do with the backup lights. As far as the VSS, I had the same problem, swapped a cable driven tranny in where an electric used to be, I fixed that a couple weeks ago, the P/N for a T5 electricspeedo VSS is 10456087. That does not come with the driven gear, you'll need to take it off the old VSS, or order a new one.
