92 firebird 3.1 into a s-10 swap.

im doing a 350 tpi swap on my 92 bird i am wanting to take the 3.1 that was in it and put it in my 83 chevy s10. im gonna leave it fuel injected and have all the original computer and harneses.what will i have to do in order to get this thing to work without a vats unit. and how the heck do i get the wiring harness out of the firewall on the driverside of the bird without cutting it.............................................thanks

from what i understand,you can have a prom burned for the computer that will disable the VATS,as for the driver's side harness,if you look at the firewall junction,there is a bolt right in the center of plug(can't remember if this is inside or outside) that will allow the plugs to come apart.it may be covered by a plastic snap in shield.hope this helps.
