this has me stumped
just finished my engine swap, and now i have a weird electrical problem................
when i turn my headlights on:
my left blinker on the dash lights up
(yes i replaced the bulb)
when i turn on my headlights my wipers will not work
as soon as i turn my headlights off, the wipers will work
when the wipers are on, the left blinker also lights up
when the wipers and headlights are off the right blinker works normally
the right blinker always works normally
what the hell have i done?

would have to say you have a loose or falty ground or a crossed wire. most likely a ground problem though. Over have of all electrical problems like that are alway ground related issues and no fun to find. Good luck
yeah, ARMAC is absolutly right, i had a bad ground on my old 84 bird, i had dim head lights, weird flashing, and blinkers going crazy.
good luck, my bad ground was near the headlight drivers side, check that out.

i'll third on that opinion,it's most likely a ground loose or not grounded at all. the circuit will find the path of least resistance(i.e. lighting lights when they are not supposed to like your turn signal indicators) when it is not grounded properly.the 1st place to start would be the body ground from battery negative post.good luck!
