wiring question

Today I was putting in my new driving lights and when I went to install the relay, I pulled back the carpet under the drivers side and a bunch of crap fell down that the previous owner had wired up and just stuffed it under the dash. Now the question: Does anyone know what a (Viper control module) does? this thing has three relays of its own and also I noticed that there was three push button switches under the dash (they almost look like reset buttons) but I have no clue what this does. I put in my own alarm and none of this belongs to my current alarm. Should I leave it be or cut it out.

sounds like part of an alarm. i say if its not causing any problems just leave it alone.

that would be an alarm control module or more commonly known as the alarm "brain". if it was installed properly(which in your case sounds like it wasn't),you should be able to unplug it and have no probs. i personally would trace the wiring back and disconnect it. do be thoughtful to your car and don't leave any bare wires hanging.also connect the wires back correctly with solder&heatshrink or solderless crimp connectors, your car will respect you in the morning because of it.
