defroster hatch

i am thinking of adding a power defroster to my car and i was wondering if the wiring for the hatch is already run with the rest of the wires to the back of the car ? or would i have to run a 12v wire to connect to the hatch ?

also i took off the panel on firebird where the switch would be if i had a button for the defroster and there are wires in there, would that be the wires for the defroster button ?

i can get a panel out of the junkyard with the defroster switch in it, and i can get teh whole hatch for like $20 so i was wondering if it was worth my time

i understand that the connecter on the drivers side is the 12v positive wire, and that the one on the pass. side is only a ground, but i was wondering if the wiring was already in teh car, even though it wasn't origonally equiped with a rear defroster.

if the wires in the dash end in a 5 pin plug with pink/black, grey, lt. blue, purple/white, and black wires then yes the m are the ones for the switch.

at the rear there would be a purple/white wire on the left side that connects to the LH hatch support arm and then a wire going from the RH hatch support arm to ground.

Your going to need the hatch support arms as well as the window.

gook luck.
