Creating a fake O2 signal
Does anyone know of anything I could use to generate an output of an 02 sensor for testing an Air-Fuel ratio gauge? I redesigned the display of my Autometer gauge. But I don't want to start up the car in the cold while it's in storage just for this. So is there something I could use instead, to make the thing light up?

Well the 02 outputs a signal from 0 to 1 volt, so if you can find something in that range, should work. I'm sure you could find something at RadioShack...
Try using fake oxygen... but seriously, the air/fuel ratio guage is useless. The O2 sensor is not wideband, it will only detect certain conditions, not variable levels. It will just bounce and forth for no apparent reason and will be useless. It is just as good as it is right now as if it will be when you hook it up right.

lol.. I know Bandit5 .. but actually the one thing it does show. which I like.. Is when the car goes into Highway mode.. When it does that, the display goes blank..
.. other than that.. I did figure out how lame the gauge is for my car.. but oh well.. I got it.. it's fun to muck with anyways.. Thanks 87Formula4bbl I'll see what I can come up with.
