Speedometer has gone nuts
I recently had the chance to install the proper speedometer sensor for my 92 camaro. I had the old cable drive but my old tranny went out so i had to replace it and thankfully had an electronic one. Now it pegs out with only going like 10 mph and a little more it will start bouncing and then after like 20 mpg it returns to zero. Since may i have been with out a speedo and it's kinda makes you a little more nervous driving a RED V8 Camaro with a cop on your tail when you have no idea how fast you are going. I hope someone can help me fix this. Thanks

Do you have a vss buffer box since you seem to have done away with your ECM (as guessing by your sig) ? Your speedo may be getting the raw pulse signal from the vss.

What is this VSS Buffer box. Is it on the back of the cluster cause if it is that is there and it is connected. The computer is still in my car and i believe is hooked up for atleast power. But all of the sensors like O2, knock, mainfold vacumm, etc are not. There has to be something connected between the Sensor at the tranny and the gauge to make it do what it is doing. If i could get a wiring diagram it might help out, I know the Haynes manual does not have it. Thanks
