rebuilding after fire... ignition questions.

Okay, my distributor went in the fire, so I am wondering what I should do. I have a few options.

Should I just go with stock hei?

Pertronix flame thrower distributor?

Msd extra duty billet w/ vacuum advance, blaster 2 coil, and 6al box?

I don't really mind the price, but I want to get bang for buck.
If I don't need the msd, than I can use the cash for other stuff, like these nice seats I found.
I am afraid that I won't notice a difference with or without the msd crap.
How much better is it with full msd, rather than stock hei. Or hei with high power coil.

Please give me some opinions asap. I am buying sometime today...

thanks
Jay

If you want a much better burn in the combustion chamber, that will help reduce emissions, and provide more MPG, then you should go with the MSD box...

But after installing mine though, I found no gain whatsoever in the 1/4 mile....but it does run a lot smoother that's for sure.

I decided to buy the msd setup. I got the extreme duty dizzy with the blaster 2 coil and the 6al box.

a grand total of $425.

I hope it is worth it...
