Speedometer Cluster!?!?!?!? Help!!
Ok guys i need your help bad and a.s.a.p please!! Just a little while ago i went to change my left turning signal bulb in my '85 camaro. (which has the 85mph, battery & temp & oil light in the middle and gas guage on the right) Anyways for some stupid reason i took all the front bezel off and went to unscrew and take off the front speedometer plate and something happened. When i put it all back together and drive around it is WAY!! off. I idle and it bounces back and forth from 0 to 25mph, im crusing probably around 40mph and its reads 75mph, im on the highway at the flow of traffice and the needle went all the way AROUND is at 25mph! The needle is never steady also, it bounces all the time. When i accelerate, brake, turn, all the stuff. WTF gives!? do i need to replace the WHOLE guage cluster (i.e. the speedo, the gas and the 3 little ones in the middle) or do i just replace the speedometer cluster? If just the speedometer cluster i need to replace can i get a 115mph or a 145mph? I need your guys HELP BAD!!! because i commute and when on the freeway it racks up my miles QUICKLY!! (and i mean like 2 miles with 30 secs.) HELP!! HELP!!! HELP!!!

Ok, there is a little cup with a shaft on it that has a counterspring wound around the shaft. On the end of the counter spring there is a little metal bar that fits in a slot. The speedometer needle fits on this shaft. If that bar on the counterspring is not in the slot, your needle will bounce all over the place.
