windo problem

a friend of mine is doing the 4th gen interior swap into his thirdgen. everything has gone smoothly up till now. we are installing the power window switches. we have power to the drivers side switch for the drivers windo, power is coming out of the switch, but the windo only goes down like an inch then stops. we wait a few min and then we can make it go down another inch. and so on and so on. is this a wire problem or the motor. also we are getting no power at all to the passenger switches from ither the drivers side door or the passenger side. if you were able to follow all that let me know if you have any ideas as to what our problem is. thanks

temporarily hook up the stock 3rdgen switches....sounds like a motor problem on the one that isn't moving much. could be a problem of a blocked track but i doubt it.

same with passenger...if the 3rdgen switch does nothing check the wires for proper voltage; they could have cracked or possibly ground out somewhere.
