those are for a camaro...i believe the formula is different, for my friend has a tpi harness from an 87 camaro..and mine is different...trying get the schematics so i can adapt mine to my 84 camaro, for i am missing the main plug that plugs into the firewall for the dash

I don't have a Camaro either. But I have extensively used those diagrams and they are correct, unless your buddy has bought a harness that was FUBARed to begin with, unless he has an auto tranny and you obvously have a manual one. Then you have several differences: Neutral start switch, torque convertor interlock switch, etc....

Oh... I just realized that you have an 84, not an 86. The engines and wiring were changed in 86-87 so yours would obviously be different. Try this one instead, it's for an 85, which may be closer to your car:

The first link works for the 87, the second for your 84 car so you can adapt what he has to what you have. Those are the only two wiring diagrams I know of other than buying a GM Helms manual and looking them up for yourself.
