Wiring fog lights to a non foglight car
How do i wire up stock 85-90 t/a foglights to my 84 firebird so they come on when the headlights are on????
when you wire up the relay, hook up the positive coil wire to your lowbeam positive wire.
.........87 --
...85 -- -- -- 86
........30 l
87 would be your output wire to the foglights
30 would go to a source that is 12+ all the time. Make sure you fuse this one close to the source, expecially if you go directly to the battery.
85 would hook into that low beam positive wire
86 would go straight to ground.
And then of course you would ground the foglights directly to chassis.
Good luck

Find your foglight relay and switch the 12+ coil wire to the lowbeam 12+ wire in the headlight harness, and if the other coil wire isn't hooked up to ground, ground it. The relay should be up by the horns and coal canister. By doing that the switch won't work though unless you rewire that in series with the 12+ or ground on the coil wire.
