Want to wire my turn signals like a 98-up 4th gen

Ok, one thing I noticed on my moms car is that when the car is running / headlights on, the turn signals are bright.

If I'm right, the wiring on the 4th gen cars work like this: T/S is a dual filament bulb and both filaments are lit at all times. When the hazard / turn signal is applied, the bulb goes completely out then fully bright again.

For some reason, I think this just looks awesome and I want my turn signals to do this instead of just one filament being lit at all times and the second filament working the turn signal / hazard light function.

My idea is to wire both filament wires up to the constant hot (well, hot when the park/ headlights are on) and working some kind of reverse relay to the "second filament wire" so when power is supplied to this wire, it cuts power off at the other wire..

Now, I've never doen any wiring except a car alarm once and car stereo stuff. Does a relay like this even exist?

Thanks for any help anyone can provide

The easy way would be to just pull the entire harness off of the later car and wire it up on your car.

Actually, I think it would be easier to splice two wires together and put a relay on that wire instead of trying to integrate 2 wiring harnesses together.
