Bad computer???
Bad computer???
Got a bit of a puzzler. I changed my oil and while ideling, looking for leaks, the engine stumbled a bit...just for a second. I noticed that the check engine light was on after that. When I tried to pull the codes, all I got was a constant check engine light. I also noticed that the usual cycling of the mixture solenoid before start up was missing. Think my computer died???

If your ECM had died, you would not be able to pull up the code 12. Your problem lies elsewhere. Are you still able to crank the car and drive it?

Sorry SgtSkip,
My bad, I am sending you some information by e-mail that might help you. Granted that it is from a 1989 camaro service manual, but it describes the problem you are having with the check engine light.
