Speedo needle?

Speedo needle?
Just pulled my needle out and I have a rough idea at what MPH it was at but i'll probably be off by 5. I was just wondering if the 91 v8 gauge cluster's speedo needle resets by itself or do I have to try and install this one in the exact location? If so, can someone give me some tips? Thanks.

If it is like the 89's, then you have to try and install it in the exact location. I put a piece of tape on my speedo and marked the location with a pen when I had to take mine off. Seems to have worked, no tickets so far. But then again, I may have it on the high side.

easiest way would be to hookup a laptop with a cable, or a scan tool.... drive a constant speed, and make the needle match what the screen says.
matter of fact, i drove into work today with the ALDL connected to the laptop.... i opened the digital dash and was comparing the two... mine is right no...
