Where do I buy new fusible links?

Can I just go to Advance Auto and get new ones? I am replacing some of the wiring and links. The old ones are all cracked up and nasty looking.

Any auto parts store should carry them where they keep the fuses.

Fuseable links are just smaller wires. Theres nothing special about them. Use a wire two sizes smaller(larger number) if you have trouble finding them.

Fusible links are special in the fact that they are meant to melt if there is too high of an amperage going through the wire as such they have a different insulation over the wire that will not melt or catch on fire. That is why when they go it is so hard to find the spot.
