Year and model help as opposed to part numbers. Dist reference is a pulse generator so putting voltage on and off should cause injector operation.

i have a 1951 five window chevy truck that it is in.the first ecu was from a 87 vette 1227165 then i changed it over to a 1227730 from a 90 cavalier i reworked the wire harness.now i have changed it over to a 1227727 waterproof ecu from a lumina 91.i have aujp chip with vats removed.the vehicle ran fine with the 7730ecu but i cant get it to run with 7727?the plugs are fireing and the injectors as well.only #2 cilinder will fire off?in my swappers guide it said to check circuit #430 with power i wanted to know if it should pulse the injectors when 12v applied like the book said or when it was removed ,like mine is doing?i have tried a different 7727 and a new ignition module still just #2 every now and then.i have removed the plugs let the fuel off of them evaporate and then reinstalled them and still no difference.the distributor is from 87 vette with hei.

I just happen to have a Lumina 91 Z-34, let me pull the book and look it over at work. I'll get back to you if I can come up with some help.

I took a quick look at the diagram for the 91 and it looks very different. The 91 uses a crankshaft position sensor and opposed to dist hall pickups like the 89 I have uses. Both ECM's bank fire the injectors, I suspect it has something to do with the way the two sense injector pulsing and provide timing. Are you sure the 2 are compatible?

My later GM manuals say ref ckt#430 is crankshaft position.
