removing the chime (audible alarm)

no one commented on the last and vital question i had on my last post so i'm posting again: how do i remove the audible alarm (big blue box) from the convenience center? i tried just pulling it but it wouldn't budge. any ideas?

Guess I missed seeing that

You should be able to tug it out. It may take a little more effort than it should but, you shouldn't break anything.
My old 84 was the most stubborn (corrosion from many years of interior moisture). The 'birds pulled out rather easily and my 91 camaro was a pita due to the revamped center location.
All 3 just pulled out though.
