How many of you guys are running aftermarket tachs and speedos (Autometer etc.) in the stock dash? Any pics? I wanna see what I can do w/ my stock TA dash as far as a new tach and speedo. I will need a better tach cause my tach for the 305 only goes to 6k, and the 355 will see a little higher.

Not really. I know plenty a guys spinning their motors to 6500 w/ no problems. The setup should make peak power right at 6k w/ the LT1 intake, and I will probably shift around 6200. And yes the parts will hold it.

I run my car with a speedo in the dash, as the 85 one was no good for me, as it only goes to 85. I had trouble installing it, and i still do, becuase it is a wierd setup unless you do some custom stuff. I Made two holes in the back plastic of the thing, and the took the screws and put nuts on the end to hold it in, It works well but its kind of a wierd setup. I am using an Equattis 120 mph speedo, works fine with the stock cable. Except i needed a longer one to fit corectly. I do not have any pictures of the setup.
