Let me see if I get this straight, correct me if I'm wrong here. You have a VATS lock cylinder wired in under the dash, and you have a lock cylinder in the steering column. Kind of sounds like my car, the previous owner had took a VATS lock cylinder and put an uncut key in it. He then connected it to the harness, rolled it up, wrapped it in about a roll of cheap electrical tape and crammed it up in the dash. He then put a regualr lock cylinder in the steering column because he was either too lazy or too stupid (possibly both) to correctly install it.

VATS info
Hey grndmasnightmar,
I just remembered, I sent you some info on this back in october. Is the connector still on both the cylinder and VATS control module wires? And I guess from your response that you have a standard lock cylinder in the steering column. You've just got to love some of these methods. Do you still have the info I sent you?

well..
well trickster i have most of the info on how to do it thanks, and also i dont want to get involved with putting the vats cylinder back in. i think the easiest would just be to jump it with a resistor i already have 2 kill switches for security. and one more thing, should i just sotter together a few resistors to get a perfect resistance or will that be prone to failer during extreme weather?
thanks guys
