Need help reading codes

Can anyone tell me which code my car is giving off? After the code 12, there is one flash, a pause then 3 flashes. It does this 3 times. Goes to code 12, then again the one flash, a pause then 3 flashes. The car is a carbed 83Z. Thanks

Code 13= Oxygen Sensor Circuit (sensor problem or open circuit). I had a similar problem on a 85 Z28 and it was caused by the TPS (throttle position sensor) being out of adjustment.

Thanks for the info. Can you also tell me how to read the code. I mean how do you get code 13 from 3 flashes. Is there a calculation or a chart to convert the number of flashes?

Yes, the codes are read by the number of flashes. For example, FLASH...FLASH FLASH is code 12. FLASH...FLASH FLASH FLASH is code 13. If the code was 45, it would be FLASH FLASH FLASH FLASH .... Flash FLASH FLASH FLASH FLASH. It will always flash each code three times before going to the next code. After all the codes have flashed, it will repeat the cycle.

Thanks Trickster. So the first flashs equal 10 each , then the rest are 1 each. Flash Flash...Flash Flash Flash would be a code 23 right?
