Coil lost power, now no brake or turn signals

A little backround
MSD 6AL box, 8361 distributor, blaster 2 coil

Today when i was driving my car all of the sudden it shut off...
this happend before when the +battery welded itself to the header and fried the battery and ALT, but this time the gauges all stayed on so i knew i had power...i pull into the left turn lane and get out to push this heavy b!tch across 2 lanes onto a sidestreet...i start looking over everything, ignition connection good, distributor still hooked to the MSD box, coli +- still tight, and then i see that the coil wire came off..and the little brass cap that screws onto the screw thats in the coil came off...so im looking everywere for it becasue the coil wire wont go on the coil without it and im "bent over" being 10 miles from home.....so i happen to grab the coil wire and see that its still in the terminal,...i get it out and put it back on the coil and she fires right up....

i turn around to make a left to get back onto the main road and i notice my turnsignals no longer work....i come up to a red light and hit the breaks and the guy behind me almost parks in my back seat..he comes next to me and tells me my brake lights dont work...

So how in the flying mmhmm did the coil losing power cause me to loose my signals and brake lights?.....i havent checked anything yet, but i know that the lights still work (i was turing them on when i had to stop)...

Thanks guys

Rob

i should of said that in my first post....
im looking at the fuse block diagram out of the owners manual and "block #5" is turn signal lamps and back up lights...the back up lights work..."block #7" is the parking lights, sidemarkers lights, and tail lights...and all 3 of those work....the only one i dont know if it works or not is "block #17" thats stoplight switch, hazard flasher and chime...

im going to check those now...

The stop/hazard fuse powers the brake switch and the turn b/u fuse powers the turn signals.

i just spent an hour or so out there prodding away with my test light and found that there isnt any power getting from the fuse box to the rear harness for the turn signals and brake lights...
All of the fuses are good..i triple checked the 2 you mentiond and then pulled them out to look at them....

i poked around on the "tree" for a few minutes then relized i didnt know WTF wire was what..

also while i was holding the brake pedal to the floor i poked both wires goin to the brake switch under the pedal, and neither one had power....the other switch had a vacuum line to it

Thanks guys

Check out this schematic, you will notice a connector marked C206 that I have put an "X" by in the first picture. It is located under the left rear speaker behind the trim panel. The wire harness for the rear lights go through it. The second picture shows it.

i diidnt know about that connection.....i checked the one in the drivers side cubby hole in the rear hatch area behind that little storage compartment...were the rear lights harness attaches and it didnt have any power other then the HOT...i hit the brake pedal while the motor was running and nothing was at the female end of it..(the side closet to the front of the car) i turned on the turn signal and nothing either....so thats when i started farting around on the column and under the dash...today when i get off work ill go to my dads and hook the battery up and all the ECM stuff so i have some power and will check that connection.....by the looks of it its right under the drivers back seat...

Thanks again trickster...ill keep you posted

That be where it's at, just back of the door near the left speaker. That is also where the wires for the hatch release & pull down assembly join together.
