DID A SEARCH!! cant find what i need t56 speedo???
ok heres what i have. 91z28 w/ 97 lt1 with wiring and 93 t-56. question is does ne one have pics of diagrams of the proper way to wire this so my speedo works? o forgot to mention the wiring harness for the lt1 was rewired to be a stand alone unit?? not sure who did it but i have a blue wire labeled VSS coming from the PCM??? PLEASE throw me a bone i know ive read it on here before but i coulndt fine exactly what i needed to understand the process, thanks in advance - TOT

o ya forgot to mention all the wiring is done the car runs great, the only thing i need is the speedo. thanks - TOT

ok ive read through the whole post about 4 times some great info. what i know now is i need the SGI box but what i dont know is how this ties into the LT1 PCM? i see the the in and the out on the box and it looks like it goes trans->SGI-> old conector ->dash
I think the only importance of the signal going through the PCM would be for the revese lockout?? isnt this based on speed? anyway thanks for the help - TOT

oooh, with the LT1 PCM..
you can just hook it up like the LT1 has it stock.... the computer will do the same thing as the SGI box and convert the t56 signal to the speedo signal on its own..
you just need a wiring diagram of the stock 97 LT1 fbody setup.
run it just like it is stock.. you can even have the computer controlled reverse lockout
