Couple of wiring questions for T-5 conversion.
Doing a T-5 conversion. What is the switch on the clutch pedal? it has yellow and purple wires coming off. Where Do I wire it to? on the clutch/brake pedal assy that I pulled from the salvage yard, there is only one switch on the brake pedal, on my auto there are 2... what is the second one and do I need it for the conversion? How much work is involved in putting a 115 or 145 mph speedo and tach in my 'maro if I have an 85 mph with no tach? I'll ask more as I think of them and y'all answer.

It is the clutch start switch, the yellow wire goes to the ignition switch on the steering column under the dash and the purple wire goes to the post marked "S" on the starter solenioid.

can I hook the purple and yellow to the purple and yellow from the plug that plugged into the auto shifter? The second switch on the old break pedal has some kind of vaccum line or something attached if that helps figure out what it is... Another question that wasn't in the original post, where do the two wires that are connected to the t-5 tranny come from?

That second switch on your old brake pedal assembly was for the cruise control and unless you plan to remove the cruise control from the car or disable it, you will need that switch. I will have to do a little looking for those two wires at the tranny, what color are they? If you are talking about the purple and yellow wires in your old shifter, the answer is yes.

Hey trick,
Is there a way to bypass that switch all together? I mean can I connect the two wires together on my car so that I can hook up an auto start button with alarm? I always park in Nuetral.
Thanks bro,
Bill

If you are referring to the switch for the cruise control, you can just remove it. If you are talking about hooking the purple and yellow wire together and eliminating the clutch start switch. That is not an option that I would, in all honesty, recommend. It is there for safety purposes and should not be bypassed.

Does anyone know what the orange and black/white wires on the shifter are for? and are the blue and green wires for the reverse lights? If so, can I hook them straight up to the pig tail that goes to the t-5?

Orange/black wire goes to ECM, black/white wire is ECM ground, the green wire goes to your backup lights and the blue wire goes to the turn flasher and turn/backup fuse. Blue wire and green wire would go to the backup switch for a manual. Not sure about the other two wires.
