Alternator

anyone know if there is a alternator relay fusible link or fuse because i cant get my alternator to charge my battery i accidentaly touched the valve cover to the power of the alternator and i think i may have blown something ... so if there is a link where is it located

It is the red wire coming out of the two wire connector on the back of the alternator. It goes to the starter solenoid.
There is also a fusible link in the large cable that goes from the positive battery post to the post on the alternator. To check that one, take a multimeter and put the red probe on the post and the black one to ground. Should have abput 12 volts on it.
