B&M shifter reley...

B&M shifter reley...
i have had it burn up 2x now. never the leads just the wire. after the first time my dad re wired it with larger wire and it still burned. what could be the problem?

the reley is rated at 5 amps. the starter wires are 20- 30 amps... explain that. i had about 2 good electrition coment on that. kinda seems wierd to me, what u think

I just finished my B&M Megashifter install today. I verified the correct PN on the relay and it seems to be working great. I wired it exactly as the instructions stated. Hope I dont see any problems as you have.

I have a relay for the Mega Shifter if anyone wants to give me a few bucks for it. I JUST installed my shifter today...and decided not to use the relay....everything works great and I even used the factory cable
