can u rebuilding the wire?

Hey guys i need some help here. it looks a little flimsy. I think my wire that connects to the o2 sensor is bad. can that thing be rebuilt by cutting it and just adding some elect tape 2 it? mind u, its the wire that u connect the sensor too not the o2 sensor wire its self. the reason is im getting a code 44 "lean exaust". ive changed the o2 sensor like a month ago and now its reading it again. whats wrong? is it the wire or the o2 went bad in a month? its a 2.8 89 camaro ill appreciate any help.

Hello Mory,

There are several reasons that you could be getting a code 44. Here is a troubleshooting chart that you can look at and see if it will help you correct the problem. So don't go cutting and splicing wires without knowing if that is the real problem. And no, cutting the wire and adding electrical tape to it is not a good repair job.
