why wont my hazards work

why wont my hazards work

the button doesnt do anything wether i pull the outer part out of push the center in, it doesnt do jack.

The flasher relay in the convenience center is probably shot. The convenience center is located under the dash by the drivers right knee. The relay will be a round unit.

but shouldnt the hazard button still do something pyshically?

like move and click into place or something?

Sorry, I mis-understood your post. When you push the center button in, it will remain pushed in until you reset it by pulling the outter ring outwards. From looking at the first picture, it appears that you can pull the outter ring out. If the center button doesn't push in, then you will have to pull the steering wheel off and find the problem inside the column

Could i take off the screw in the center? woudl that do anything?

Sure you can take that screw out the center and other than holding the button to the switch on the turn signal switch assembly inside the steering column it does nothing. I don't know how much pressure you are putting on that button, but on mine it takes more than a casual push to operate it.
