Transmission: 700R4
seem 2 come out w/no problems

why am i able 2 take my key out of the ignition w/out no problems while the car is on? i can drive w/out the key in the ign at anytime. is this somthing i should be worried about? been like this 4 over 1 1/2 year. just wondering was there a problem before or is there going 2 b a prob.

Axle/Gears: 2.42 too high
your lock cylinder is worn out, you may be able to have a new key cut & it not do that for a while, or a new key may not even be able to work the lock cylinder at all. a new key may also cause the lock cylinder to to stop working completely. sooner or later you will have to replace the lock cylinder, if it hasn't already started, it will get harder & harder to get the key to work in it, or it will get to where you don't need the key to turn the lock cylinder. when to replace it is up to you. if it were mine,.... i would change it soon.
