the fuse that controls my interior lights ( not including the mirror lights or the dome light) keeps blowing i put a new one in and turn them on and immediatly the fuse blows....this is pretty annoying and i have no lights for my controls....

When you say interior lights to exclude the dome and mirror lights, I take it you are talking about the gauge lights and shifter lights. Is it the "TAIL" fuse blowing or the "INST LMP" fuse blowing. If it is the "TAIL" fuse blowing, you are losing more than just the interior lights.

Start checking the wiring to those lights as well as the lights themselves. You could have a filament inside one of the lights shorting out. You could also have corrosion inside one or more of the connectors. It is also not a good idea to put a larger fuse in a system than it is rated for. BTW, before this started, were you by any chance doing anything under the dash?

the front lamps work because the signal lights work with no problems also all the brake lights work with no problems, ive taken the panel under the dash to run wires for subs and ive installed a new center console and had to remove the shifter plate and had to disconnect the light from the shifter plate but other than that no

The front lamps will work with the turn signals because they are a dual element bulb and operate two systems. The brake lights work off the brake switch which is a seperate system. Look at your parking lights, side markers, license lights, dash lights, A/C control panel light, key warning buzzer, and shifter light. If the dimmer switch for the high beams does not click when you use it. You need to adjust it or replace it. I hope you meant the high beams do not turn and not the headlights. If you did mean the headlights, I would start looking at the headlight switch since that is the switch that works all these lights that you are talking about.

I'm having this same problem. It may be the light switch that is causing the fuse to blow. The fuse blows when I pull out the light switch. I hear the buzzer that reminds you to turn them off for a second and then poof the fuse blows. How would I test the light switch to see if this is the problem? THANKS!

If thats not it, then I think you have a shorted wire somewhere.
and DONT replace with a bigger fuse, thats bad...
