1984, stolen, broken column, wiring
My 1984 Z28 was stolen, joy rode for a few hours and dumped. It's not really worth much at all but it still got me around like a Chevy will. Any quick fix ideas out there to get me around a few more miles till school gets out. ( I'm a poor student ). Can I wire a new switch that just hangs there without getting into the extensive column repair or use a toggle/push button approach? Or ?????

I assume that switch was cut by the police trying to shut the car off. I never really found out the details.

Those wires are for your wiper controls. The car should still be able to be started like that. I would just replace the column if that was what i had to deal with. Or maybe you'll get lucky and find a column in the junkyard that is wobbly and get a deal on it, then you can just swap the upper bowl and a few other peices.
