shift light

i just hooked up a proform shift light 67005c and i does not light up after 3 grand, when i set the dial at 3 grand on the light, it lights up at about 2400. if i set it on 4-5 grand it still won't light up after 3 grand, do you think i should send it back, or could i have wired it wrong....i grounded it on my driver right seat mount, ran a power wire from my battery to the power wire on the light, and connected the last wire to the white wire on the coil. what do yall think... thanks.

I'd personally send it back.. sounds defective IMO.
Guessing you direct wired as stated to test it's working, it should function w/o a problem.

i started reading the intructions once again and it stated that i could be defected if you didn't connect a certain diode to the wire leading to the coil, so im gonna go to radio shack and try it out, if it doesn't fix it im sending it back
