Headlights pop up but won't go down
1988 GTA. Replaced both motors on the lights and the module on the firewall. The lights go up but they won't drop back down. Any ideas????

well, you are gonna be mad at yourself...i mean, for replacing all ya did. dollars to doughnuts, it is your headlight switch...when they get old, it gets harder for them to "tell" the headlights to go down. i had this same problem with my old Fiero and Formula. if you kinda wiggle the switch while pressing firmly down, sometimes this works...other than that, it might be a...dare i say it...WIRING ISSUE!!!
good luck!

Problem solved.
Here is the entire scenario.
First, the drivers side motor was totally frozen up. No matter what I did to it, it would not unfreeze. I got a pair of motors out of the junkyard for $20.
The headlight module was screwed up as it was never sending power to the driver's side. I got one out of the same car at the junkyard $10.
After both motors worked and I was getting power to the driver's side they decided to not go back down after manually closing them. Called Autozone and they had a new switch in stock.$14.29
Total, $44.29 and the entire headlight system is new and properly working. I am a happy camper.:hail:
