Dead battery
Sorry about the long post.
Last night I did quite a bit of driving around, making small errands. Of course to go inside stores and stuff I had to shut her down and go inside. I'd come out and it'd start just fine. This morning I come outside and the battery is totally and definitely dead. No doubt about it. The voltmeter read about 8.5 - 9 Volts, and even trying to jump start off of my dad's van it still wouldnt start. Finally I bump started it down a hill and after coming on the voltmeter jumped to 13.5 or so Volts, indicating to me that the alternator is good. When i got home last night, as usual, I made sure that everything was closed and that all accessories were off. Now how would the battery drain so badly in such a short period of time?

You probably have a dead cell inside the battery. The alternator appears to be putting out a good charge but the battery won't hold it. I had one recently on my wifes Aztek, the car had been starting fine with no problem. We stopped at a store and shopped for a bit, came out and no click or anything. Got a jumpstart and pressed on driving for about an hour and made another stop for 10 minutes, same thing happened. Got another jump and drove home 2 hours away with fingers crossed. Got home and shut the engine off and put a meter on the battery, had a whopping .5 volts showing on the battery. So it can happen suddenly and without warning.

Now why on earth would it start working again? I posted that message from school, went out during lunch break to check it, battery read 11.6 volts, fired up just fine...
drove home, no problems starting, went to the FLAPS, no problem starting...
can dead cells come on and off?

found the problem..
My center console is kinda ripped up, so the power window button was jammed in the UP position even though it looked like OFF. so yeah... parasitic drain from window motor, probably killed the polarization on the motor too with my luck.
Thanks guys
