hi, i have an 85 trans am. my passenger side headlight just all of a sudden stopped going down a while back. so i just manually put it down for a while. i was told that its prolly the relay. never go around to changing it. but anyway now it wont go up, i have to manually screw it up a little ways and then it shoots up. the same way with it going down. is the motor going bad or is it the relay? thanks for any help!

 

ok, i replaced teh relay today and nothing. i cleaned all the connections and made sure it was all good. nothing. i got it to go up a few times but never went down. then it stopped doing both adn then it would come up but not down and then nothing. just does whatever it feels like i guess. i also hear a kinda ticking noise coming from the headlight motor area. is the motor bad? thanks

 

the headlight usually goes up, but not down. what would it do if the isolation relay was bad? i know the gears are good and everything because it goes up fine and stops when it should and doesnt spin or anything. nothing. when its up it just ticks, its coming from the motor. just a light ticking. then u put it down adn the light goes off and it just stays up. i have no idea. whats it do when the motors are bad? thanks alot
