turn signal issues

this is my problem... my right turn signal works, dash light, exterior lights, everything. now my left turn signal is another story... left turn signal - dash light is lit but doesn't flash, parking, side marker, or rear aren't even lit. all lights work when turned on tho. 4 ways both turn lights on the dash flash, and only the right side lights flash, nothing on left side. any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks

i have a similar problem with my car, the left dircetional wont flash, only my rear lightbulb stays solid too as opposed to not working, in my case im trying to replace the front bulb which only works on parking light, as i assume its probably the bulb, thats what id check if i were you, i went to autozone to pick up a replacement bulb but of course it was the only bulb in the entier store that was sold out, and only the amber colored one too, the clear one was still there, anywho if they had it it would only have been 1.19 for a cheap one and 3.39 for the "expensive" one so even if it doesnt fix your problem it wont make you broke,

on a side not my sister's car, my old beater (not a f-car), had the same problem as you, her left wouldnt flash, both front and back stayed aff and the dash was solid, i trouble shooted it by switching the lightbulbs from the right side into the left side, to see if she needed new bulbs, as the problem should have switched sides if it was the bulbs, it turned out that wasnt the problem, so i changed the flasher, nothing, my dad changed the flasher, nothing again, reading the repair maual it seemed to say the only thing it could be was the flasher, so i changed it again, still nothing, my dad brought it to a repair place and they said theyed find the problme and fix it, they did, they said it needed a new flasher and it worked, and charged him $90 to find the problme and fix it, including the $5 or so for the flasher, itslef probably overpriced, ever since her windshield wipers only work on 2 speeds, fast and faster, and of course off, nothing in between, so they probably did somehting else to fix the car, involving the wiring i assume, not sure, anywho i only know what i can see

but anywho back to your problem,
id trouble shoot the lightbulbs by switching them left to right and see if the problme switches sides, or break down and pay the 1.19 and replace a few bulbs, and if not try the flasher next, if you have to bring it to a repair shop make sure you trust them not to screw anything else up in your car

had a similar problem on my 88gmc pickup and it turned out to be a bad ground on the rear tail light that fixed it all for me check your grounds also before buying parts . but i would also do as stated above and check the bulbs first

i finally fixed my turn signal problem,
how bout you Flyersman29?,
i had to replace my front bulb,
which i had to go to 3 different places to find one of,
the second place foolishly tried to sell me a clear bulb instead of the amber one for my clear lens turn signal,
but i found one at the next placeand replaced it,
replaced the side bulb and then they just stayed solid, like my back bulb,
so i changed the flasher and it workes great,
total cost of project was around 10$,
not bad,
especially since i got my inspection comming up this month
