I picked up an alternator that looks the same as the one I need from a junker. Same engine and had A/C. The pulley is different from mine though which makes me think the output voltage may not be the same. there was a 2 year difference. the junker was an 84 and mine is an 86.

Is there a way to determine the output amps on an unknown alternator?
