1986 TA 305 4bbl. LG4.

Is it ok for the alternator to be putting out 12.4 volts at idle with the AC, Headlights, Windshield Wipers and Radio on? When you turn off the headlights and winshield wipers it goes to 13.6.

Is this ok? I ask because the manual says 13.5 - 15.5 is good for alternator output but I don't know if that is with all my accessories on. The battery is always charged and roughly 12.8 volts when turned off.

Thanks for your input. Just want to make sure my alternator isn't dying.

 

That is a good voltage and nothing to worry about, the alternator and battery are fine.
