Engine: 2.8L V6
Transmission: 700R4
left rear speaker

Left rear speaker is out. somtimes it comes on for a very short while. its a good speaker cause it works fine on the right side. what is this?

If you mean that you swap the speaker from the left side of the car to the right side and it works fine. Then you have a problem with the wiring on the left side of the car or you have a problem with the left rear channel of the radio.

Transmission: whatever makes it go
bad wires

check your wires do they look old and corroded if so then replace them you might have to look beyond the hook ups like inside panels and behind the radio.

the dude who had the car before me had a little sound system in it, but when he took it out it did not effect the speakers. this problem has been going on for about 2 months now.
