MAF problems.

I originally posted this question in the tech/general engine forums, but after a few replies, it makes me think my problem(s) may be electrical. My symptoms are thus: If the MAF is plugged in, the engine wont stay running, it stalls out. If I unplugg the MAF, it idles fine, albiet a bit rough. Ive read through my haynes manual and the only thing I could see was a burn off relay and a 20a in line fuse, and the ECM fuse under the dash(which was the only one I could actually find, and its ok) Looking for some help as to isolate my problem further, and to see if I need to get a new MAF sensor or not, thanks!

You also have a MAF Sensor power relay sitting next to the burn-off relay. Have you checked the connector on the MAF sensor? Are you getting any trouble codes?

This is pretty much the area im lost at, the Haynes manual sucks as far as telling/showing me where the relays are, or what I should be looking for as far as possible problems. The plug itself looks fine, ill recheck the sensor also. Thanks Trickster.

Here is a picture of the relays, the MAF relays are the ones to the right of the fuel pump relay on the driver side firewall.

very nice Trickster thanks!! I did check the middle one, the plug itself looked fine, should I unbolt them from the wall and check them? Also, is there any way you could tell me what readings I could take at the plug going into the sensor itself?

Sure, here is a chart for the code 33 that should help you.

Well you can either go through Helm Inc. and pay $146.00 or take the cheaper route and go on E-bay and bid on one there. One just went yesterday for $46.00 plus shipping. I think there are about 2 or 3 more on there right now.
