bought a new alt last week. my DMM says the Battery is good when off and when the cars on 14.85 when on 12.83 when off. the problem is the gage says its lower than 13 volts. i saw the lights dem a little in traficc the other day but the voltage jumped right back up. Ive serched this problem already but there are to many problems but would like somone to really give me a answer on mine because others have amps and other sound systems in theres. i have everything stock. what wires do i need to look at to search for my problems ?please help.

 

What size alternator are you running on there and what all did you have operating at the time?
