ecmb headache
i was driving home the other day when my car just died.when i tried to restart it all it would do is make a clicking sound at the starter.everything works accept the headlights.so i got my volt meter and discovered that i had a short to ground in the ecmb circuit.i know very little about this so can anybody tell me where the best place could be to find it or the best way to find it?thanks

Okay, this isn't 3rd gen related but I will leave it open for awhile and anyone that might have an answer for you may post. A thought here is to look at the fusible links at the starter solenoid. On some models there is a fusible link that goes to the headlight switch and then to the ignition switch.

It would first be helpful to know which of your vehicles you are talking about.
